Piano Nobile is pleased to be exhibiting at Frieze New York 2019. The stand will display a refined selection of oils, works on paper and photographs by the leading British Surrealist, Paul Nash. Nash visited New York once in his career, making the sea crossing in 1931 to sit on the jury of the Carnegie International Award. This display will be the first monographic show about the artist in the city. It provides a rare and exciting opportunity for American private collectors and museums to view works of exceptional quality by Nash.
The display follows Piano Nobile’s highly successful exhibition held in 2014, Paul Nash: Another Life, Another World, and recent major exhibitions of his work at the Tate (2016) and the Fondation Van Gogh (2018). It will be co-curated with David Boyd Haycock, curator and author of A Crisis of Brilliance.
The gallery's stand is S22. The Fair's opening times are listed below.
