Piano Nobile is proud to be a supporter of Artists for Kettle’s Yard, through the donation of Sandra Blow's Abstract No. 2, 1952 with the Knox Family Collection.
The exhibition reflects Kettle's Yard’s longstanding reputation for championing the work of leading modern and contemporary artists. From paintings and sculpture to ceramics, photography and prints, the exhibition will include over 75 works by artists including Antony Gormley, Lubaina Himid, Chantal Joffe, Issam Kourbaj, Jennifer Lee, Ben Nicholson, Lucie Rie, Megan Rooney, Edmund de Waal, Caroline Walker and Ai Weiwei, among many more. The works have been generously donated by the artists as well as by galleries, collectors and artist estates. They will be sold in support of the Jim and Helen Ede Fund Endowment Campaign, established in honour of the Cambridge gallery’s founders and in anticipation of its 70th anniversary in 2027.
Each artwork is for sale in the galleries. Selected works will also be available through Sotheby’s Contemporary Day Auction on June 2026.
Kettle’s Yard hopes to raise over £750,000 to support the Jim & Helen Ede Fund, which will ensure that the unique house and collection are conserved, and new art and music are commissioned each year, for generations to come.
