Summary

Piano Nobile exhibited at Frieze Masters with a curated display illustrating key episodes in British art of the last century. Highlights included a significant alabaster sculpture by Barbara Hepworth, works by Walter Sickert and three signature works by Howard Hodgkin. 

We showed work by early modernist Christopher Wood, mid-century work by William Coldstream, Henry Moore and Ben Nicholson, School of London painters Frank Auerbach, Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, R. B. Kitaj and Leon Kossoff, and more contemporary objects by Grayson Perry and Edmund de Waal.
