Celia paul (b. 1959)

Figure and portrait painter and draughtsman, born in Trivandrurn, India. Fron 1976-81 attended Slade School of Fine Art. Group exhibitions included The School of London: works on Paper, at Odette Gilbert Gallery, 1989; Contemporary Art Society Market, Royal Festival Hall, 1994; Art95, The .Museum of Women's Art exhibition, Business Design Centre, 1995. Had a solo show at Bernard ,Jacobson Gallery, 1986, showed with Marlborough Fine Ar from 1991. There was an exhibition at Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Kendal, in 2004. British Museum, Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, Saatchi Collection and Metropolitan 'Museum, New York, hold examples. Lives in London.
